Whoo hoo! How the hell did I miss this. I go on one camping trip and look at the stuff I miss! Goodluck with everything guys! The whole thing makes me wish I could help out in some way. I don't get a ton of visitors on my webpage, but would putting a link to the TOTD page help? I wish I could do something else promotion-wise...but I am in the wrong area.

Welcome back.
Heck yeah a link on your website helps!! Putting a post on a forum you visit or whatever - getting the word out online in any way would be terrific... and deserving of a DVD.
Ana, do u have some suggestions?

I guess that sending a mail to every Lara Croft Tomb Raider related website will help. Most webmasters are cool and will love to post the info there.
Another thing I was thinking about was contacting directly the US media: newspapers, online news websites, tv's, magazines, etc.
I did that for the Brazilian Lara petition and it worked really fine! I had a webmaster friend who helped me with that and we could make some newspapers to actually publish articles about this issue on major newspapers in Brazil.
As I said before, I would be happy to help you contact the press and make the world know about your movie. Just give me some more details about it (release date, etc.) and I'll go for it (in case you're interested, of course).

Horray! Glad to be of service!
I am guessing a release day is hard to get right now if the project is still in production I will be happy to make that announement too when it comes. I am so glad its not screening at this SDCC as I can't afford to go. I would love to see it next year in person though :D
I can't wait to see what becomes of this!

Wow!
Thats a cool thought Val needs to do an autograph signing session at Comicon this year. Zen and I can be her security, we just need to swipe a table and some of those divider ropes...lol. |
LOL!
Don't worry GreenSheep - you have been so supportive leading up to this point, I'll be sure you are taken care of...

I am curious about Valle's British accent tough. |
I've got a coach - which reminds, I need to put his bio page up on ToTD.org... I am listening to an audio file of my dialog being read in Lara fashion right now. |
Hey, Val.. Never thought to be useful somehow..
About the movie, though perhaps mine is a premature question: any sequel in mind?

Wow, just wow.
You guys rock ! All the feed backa and questions, very cool.
The one question I seem to be getting here is sequel and I can safely say that as of NOW no sequel plans as we are hard at work on this one.
I would never rule it out though in the future.
Thanks again for all the support and ideas and promotion suggestions. We sincerely appreciate your help.
Nick

Funny you guys mention that, Zen and Mike, Val and I were just discussing next years con and booking a screening for the little movie that could.
There will be Q&A and cast signings, so of course, I will need you guys there (Zen, Tracy and Mike) to participate in the Q&A and cast signings !
Just a thought for now, but it would be extremely cool to be on the other side wouldn't it. heeheeheehee, nice.

Would you consider doing a panel at Wondercon 2005 in San Francisco? This could lay the groundwork for doing something at Comic-con 2005 as the Comic-con organizations runs the smaller Bay Area convention. I work for the Comic-con programming department so let me know if any of you have interest in doing this.

We have discussed Wonder Con, we are working out the details of course, but it defintely sounds like a possiblity, so thank you VERY much for the offer, as we get closer to completion I will defintely be in contact with you regarding Wonder Con ! What a generous offer !
As I said before, I never thought I would get such a positive reaction to all this, so thanks Val for working so hard on this and everyone else for helping here on the forum.
You're helping the little movie that could ! You guys are true Lara fans !

Thank you Shell, thanks sweet Anukhet!
Greensheep, thanks bunches for letting TRComm.Net know about us - Shehi just contacted me. Come here for a kiss
Comic Con was great! I had a chance to plug our project over at Top Cow, with Third Floor Productions & other fellow independant movie makers and even with director Robert Rodriquez's people who are soooo super cool.

Question..... |
|
For one thing, Im VERY excited to see how your movie turns out. However, the thought just sprang to my mind when you mentioned Top Cow. Do copyrights allow you to use the name Tomb Raider and Lara Croft in your movie? I dont know much about that stuff but I thought Id ask. I just would hate for you all to make a super cool movie, and then get in trouble over rights and stuff.

As long as one has no intention of selling or making a profit off of their fan work, one should be okay. Getting it seen in the proper venues may prove a challenge. The WB stopped Sany Collora's second Batman fan-film showing at Comic-con due to their promotion of Batman Begins and that someone actully is making a profit because of its showijng (convention attendees still have to pay to see it).
